Custom Geometry and Options on 18Bikes steel hardtails
Anvil Journeyman Jig offers massive adjustment
|
Here’s where we think we offer something realy quite unique! Our frame jig offers huge scope for sizes and angles - we’re really not limited there! From our side of things, there’s 2 points to consider for geometry on a hardtail MTB.
-sizing and how it fits the rider
-geometry and how it suits your riding style
We don’t work from a standard outline geometry, instead talking with a customer about existing bikes and how they fit and any requirements regarding components. We then use Bikecad software to plan the frame - this is a real two-way process, with feedback both ways.
While other “custom” framebuilders only offer some choice in angles and lengths, we have full options for;
- suited to fork length/travel
-headtube length
-effective top tube
-reach and stack
-bottom bracket height or drop
-seatube length
-headangle
-seat angle
in addition to the components used to fabricate the frame
- 1 1/8” or taper headtube
-standard/eccentric bottom bracket
-dropout style/designs
-brake mounting
-cable/hose guides and routing
-bottle and mudguard bosses
We can also cater for any unusual
specifics for a certain component, such as Rohloff cable routing, extra guides for light leads or even height adjustable seatposts.
In short - if you’ve an idea/design in your head - just ask, it’s highly likely we can say yes!
