Visiting Sheffield and the Peak District

Our shop's in prime mountain bike country, in the Dark Peak area of the Peak District.  Nearby is a network of primarily gritstone trails, great to test a demo bike or hire one of our own hardtail models.  It's not far to link into a variety of riding across the Peak District though, the grassier limestone White Peak or several links into Sheffield and the riding there.

Finding us

You can find our contact details and a Google maps link on our contact page here.  We're not far from Junction 29 of the M1 at Chesterfield.

The Sheffield-Manchester train line stops just outside Hope village - this works well if you're staying in Sheffield/Manchester and want to get out to the Peak District.  Train out and ride back, or vice versa!

Where to stay

The Peak District has a huge variety of holiday cottages, pubs and hotels - Visit Peak District is a good starting point for that.

Just over the border is Sheffield, recently rebranded as The Outdoor City.  Sheffield is ideally placed, with some great riding within the city boundaries and plenty of links out into the Peak District.

The Jonas Hotel is run by Sheffield University and offers flexible accommodation with plenty of mtb friendly features - bike lockers, communal kitchen and laundry - not far from the city centre and a ride through the parks gives a great off road route into the Peak District.
