Cotic is back at 18 Bikes!
Many moons ago, we stocked Cotic bikes - way back to the Soul, Roadrat and Hemlock. The focus changed for Cotic and they moved away from having dealers - not a falling out between us, more a different direction for them.
Cotic are Derbyshire based too, so we've kept in touch over the years, chatted at shows and shared thoughts on all things to do with steel bikes. Following their move to a larger setup in Chesterfield, we'd spotted that they'd started to offer customer collections at weekends and it set us head scratching as to whether there was any worth in us opening discussions about being a stockist again.
Cy at Cotic agreed and we've thrashed out some details to make it work - 18 Bikes is once again a Cotic stockist!

We have a demo Rocket for riders to test, plus the option to borrow from Cotic's extensive demo fleet. There'll be a couple of Cotic frames on the wall, which we'll rotate out for different models to keep things fresh across the year.
If you’re not aware of Cotic, they’re a UK brand offering steel bikes across a wide range of disciplines, mainly off-road. The Cascade and Escapade offer different takes on the drop bar and gravel side of things, depending on where on the tyre width or speed/comfort or road/off-road spectrum you sit. For mountain bikes there’s the Solaris and Bfe hardtails alongside the FlareMAX, Jeht and RocketMAX suspension bikes. Cotic also offer a unique take on the E- mountain bike, with the Rocket featuring an external battery allowing them to keep the ride feel of steel that they’re well known for.
We’ve been impressed to follow Cotic’s journey as they’ve made moves to rely less on just far Eastern production, with Portugal and Czechia now sitting alongside Taiwan for manufacture of their core range. The suspension bikes (including the E-bike) are now UK mitred, welded, painted and assembled - not an easy task, but one that Cotic were keen to put in the legwork for.
Cotic work in quite a different way to most mainstream brands, offering a much more custom approach to a bike purchase. Bikes are assembled to order, starting with set build kits, but each item can be fine tuned - and much of their range is available with A la carte custom paint!
You can order any of the same Cotic frames, bikes and builds from us as you can direct with them - or in the case that there's a particular item that they don't offer, we can of course complete the build here!
